I'm a girl who is travelling in His world. Seeking Allah's pleasure. I used to create a story about people I used to know and also my own story. Don't get offended. If you think you can't accept the way I am, then please back off. I am okay without you. I have Allah :)

it's been a year since i haven't updated anything in blog. i bet all of you are missing me badly. awh *grabs popcorn* okay one of my fellow followers told me i stopped spreading da'wah. no i'm not. lately, i'm so busy preparing for my upcoming exams (eleh) so wish me luck on mid-year test :)

wut? my topic today is about silence is golden? oh bytheway, i haven't updated anything on new year *pftttt* happy new year everyone xD (it's too late) at least i still wish ok..:p so, 2014 has been the toughest year..all the disaster that happened in Malaysia. MH370, MH17 and so on. uh-huh it's not a bad thing. there must be some reasons why all of those shit happened right? every cloud has a silver lining. hm *sighs*, that means in spite of 'bad' things happening, usually there's an unexpected benefit that we never thought would be a good thing coming from an unfortunate situation. just take a look on the bright side of things basically // 2015? i hope it'll be as what as i dreamt for. i really wanted to achieve my goals in 2015. hopefully i'll succeed.

SILENCE IS GOLDEN

when you have nothing worth saying, it's better to remain silent. in the words of Mark Twain 'it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all your possible doubt.

every single that we utter is a du'a. say good things or remain silent. your bad words may hurt others' feelings. remember, when you're angry, keep silent, your silence may hurt the ones you love but your nasty words can break and damage them beyond repair.

have you ever heard this word? "tongue is sharper than the sword", this is a phrase that we frequently hear. this expression contains figurative language which means tongue is used to replace the word 'word'. tongue is an important organ in producing words until our tongue become imperfect and spread bad words. in other words, the expression will state that words are sharper than a sword. in the past until now, sword becomes one of the dreaded weapons.but if words turns out to be sharper than a sword, as sharp as what is says??

// Praise
well, who doesn't like to be praised? hm (almost) everyone likes to be praised, it's a human nature to like to be praised and dislike to be criticized. in fact, there is a trend we prefer to be friends with people who always praise us and keep a distance away from people who always criticize us. praise can calm us while criticism can overwhelm us.

however, in reality, how many people have been destroyed by compliments not because of criticism? compliments can be dangerous, it's wrapped neatly with magnificent words and make people forget about themselves, who they really are. that too much praise will inflate the ego. make people too big for their britches. did you know, what has happened to all great leaders? they have been destroyed and killed due to amusement praise by people that are close to them.

on the other hand, if praise is uttered by the right people, praise can be an injection of energy to improve themselves. praise can motivate to constantly grow and develop much better. nonetheless, criticism should be accepted graciously as motivation either!

perhaps, the sharpness of words doesn't exactly match to the sharpness of sword, which when scratching  skin will bleed soon. however, the sharpness of words may not be visible, probably could lead to much deeper wounds, which may not fade in time.

'watch your tongue, it defines your intelligence or your stupidity.'

in short, compliments can make us forget ourselves meanwhile criticism reminds us who we really are. be humble every time receive compliments. but do not despair with contempt.

i'd like to share a story;

the bed felt soft and warm. Melisa hoped her sister Shelly wasn't asleep yet in her bed. as Melisa watched the shadows made by the moonlight streaming through the window and across the dressers and beds, they made curious gray shapes on the wall.

'i wonder what the sharpest thing in the world id,' Melisa said

'who cares about that?' responded Shelly, who thought Melisa was a nuisance when she asked so many questions
.
'well, it couldn't be shadows,' Melisa said, 'even

though they have corners, they're very soft.'

'oh, are they really?' Shelly declared sarcastically.

Melisa lay quietly for a moment, but she kept thinking. soon she said, 'if i wanted to find out what the sharpest thing in the world is, i'd start by letting every single horse bite me.'

'oh no.' moaned Shelly.

'what a dumb idea.' said Shelly. 'you couldn't do that.'

'pins are very sharp.' Melisa continued, undeterred. 'they can go through most anything. or mama's best scissors might be the sharpest thing in the world. remember how easily they cut my hair?'

'go to sleep!' Shelly said crossly.

'our sharpest knife cuts through a loaf of homemade bread in a second. but daddy's nail go through wood, oh!' Melisa cried excitedly. 'i think i know what the sharpest thing in the world is. great-great grandpa Johnson's sword! if you got poked with that it would really hurt.'

'will you please be quiet, Melisa, so i can go to sleep!'

'if i could try all the horses and dogs and pins and scissors and knives and nails and swords, then i'd know what the sharpest thing in the world is'

Shelly suddenly sat up in bed. 'Melisa.' she shouted. 'if you don't be quiet, i'm going to tell dad. i wish i had a bedroom of my own. i wish i didn't have to share a bedroom with a sister who talks all night!' then she lay down again, turned her back to Melisa and pulled the covers over her shoulder.

Melisa was quite for a long time. finally, out of darkness came a wistful voice. 'i know what the sharpest thing in the world is.'

'please be quiet.' said Shelly.

'it's words.' Melisa said quietly. 'they hurt the most'

Shelly turned over and looked at Melisa with a mixture of surprise and affection. 'oh Melisa,' she said. 'i'm sorry. i didn't mean those things i said, i like sharing my bedroom with you. and i like having you for a sister.'

the girls were both silent for a few minutes thinking. suddenly Melisa whispered, 'Shelly.'

'what now?' Shelly asked laughingly.

'i know what the softest thing in the world is,' Melisa declared thoughtfully. 'softer than shadows and darkness and pillows and kittens and blankets and moonlight.'

'tell me,' said Shelly good-naturedly. 'what's the softest thing in the world?'

'it's words,' said Melisa.

through the darkness she could almost see her sister smiling and then she felt soft arms around her and Shelly whispered, 'oh, Melisa, i love you.'
